Bonhoeffer

 Bonhoeffer studied for several years in America, where his relationship with Christ really began to grow3 and flourish into what he would become known for. After studying abroad, he moved back to Germany as Hitler began to come to power. Bonhoeffer taught and helped run an illegal seminary, which was eventually shut down by the Nazis for criticizing the Third Reich. Bonhoeffer ran the seminary underground for as long as he could before he was caught and shut down again. The Nazis slowly took away all of his power, taking his speaking rights, preaching rights, and finally his publishing rights.
