Yesterday's sermon was preached by Pastor Chris Engelsma at Covenant URC. The text was John 1:1, the famous "the Word was with God and the Word was God" passage. This was the beginning of a new series on Genesis 1-11, inspired by a visit to the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. The sermon explored what the world was like before God created our world. Before time, God existed utterly alone and in his three persons as he does today. God was just as good and glorious as he is today, his glory and wisdom cannot be augmented or diminished.
