English Trade

Britain was by far the most powerful kingdom in the days before the revolution. The sun never set on the British Empire, with colonies in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and America. Their ships could be seen everywhere, and during this time when someone said Englishman, it almost was a synonym for seaman or sailor. People imagined England as an Island with no interior, just costs, harbors, quays, wharves, warehouses, and other things needed to run ships.
