What we build our lives on is very important. Everything in the sermon on the mount is meant to be done so your life can be built on the foundation of Jesus. A wise builder doesn't just read the beatitudes, he does them. Likewise, it isn't enough to read the Bible, we need to actually do what it says. We need to ask ourselves what we are building our life on, the Bible or ourselves?
