Dominion is a game where the goal is to build up a better deck (Or dominion) than your opponents by using the few measly coppers you start out wish to purchase more treasures, lands, and buildings for your dominion. You start off with seven coppers and three estates. Every turn you draw five cards from your deck and use what you got to buy more treasure, inflict penalties on opponents, or even buy more land, which will be tallied up for your score at the end of the game. Dominion is very customizable. It comes with about twenty different types of action cards, and since you only use ten types of action cards a game, the possibilities and strategies are pretty much endless. The goal of the game is really to buy provinces, which cost eight treasures. Getting eight treasures into your hand is difficult since you can only have five cards in your hand max. This is where gold and silver come in. Coppers are only worth one treasure, but silver and gold are worth two treasures and three treasures respectively. This means you can more treasure in your hand with the same amount of cards. If I pick up five coppers, that's only five treasures and that's not going to help me that much. If I pick up two golds and a silver, then I have enough for a province and two cards that I can use for anything else. Action cards can help a lot. Some, like Moats, protect you from attacks from other players. Others like the Militia and the Witch, let you attack your friends (Because let's be honest, who doesn't like doing that?). Still more let you get rid of bad cards in your deck to increase the chance of you picking up better ones. Others let you play more cards, draw more cards of your deck, give you more treasures to spend, and so on. The only thing I didn't really like about this game si some of the art looks a little odd, but all in all this game gets a 👍 from me.
