Sermon Report

Yesterday's sermon was preached by Christopher Engelsma and was on Romans 8, or more specifically Romans 8:16. The Romans adopted children for different reasons. Often times it was because the family had no male son, and thus no heir. For Roman's family name to become non-existent was tragic, so adopting a male child was done to prevent this from happening. This adoption had to have witnesses to prove that it was legitimate. In the same way, the Holy Spirit is the witness of our adoption into Christ.
