Libertarians further believe that the government is responsible for every environmental disaster through its complete ineptitude. They say the government caused the dust bowl by allowing everyone to graze their cattle and sheep on public property. This caused the public range to be overrated, and the cowboys murdering each other to fit their animals in. If the government hadn't done this, allowing everyone to buy their own land then the dust bowl wouldn't have happened.
