Sermon Report

Yesterday's sermon was preached by Greg Stam. It was an installation service for Wayne Otten, though Rev. Otten didn't actually do any preaching. He gave several stories, most from the Bible, to illustrate his point that being a minister is focusing people away from the messenger and more towards God. One was the story about Lydia, who wanted to know more about God and was taught by Paul at the river. Another was about a drug addict in a city in Russia. A pastor found him on a park bench when he was intoxicated, and prayed fro him. Later the man tried to find the pastor, and eventually did, and became a pastor himself.
