OT Survey Report

Wisdom literature is found throughout the Bible. Some psalms are wisdom literature, as well as Job, the Song of Songs, and Ecclesiastes. Wisdom literature is defined by, well, wisdom. The people from ancient times thought that everything existed to bring order to the natural chaos of the world, etiquette to relationships, laws to governments, and so on. Therefore, they wanted their worldviews to fit this idea. They also thought that God punished and rewarded those living, as they had no concept of life after death.
