Susie Spurgeon

Susie Spurgeon, the wife of the famous preacher and author Charles Spurgeon, lived during the Victoria Era. Queen Victoria took the throne when Susie was five and outlived Susie by a few years. The Victorian Era heavily influenced the world's future, but it had flaws. One of these was the almost complete lack of interest in women's rights. That meant Susie's future was completely tied up to her husband, but that didn't seem to challenge her that much. She understood that his work for God came first, and threw herself wholeheartedly into aiding him in his quests, content to be submissively by his side. Indeed, Susie's name deserved to be on several of Charles's books, but to this day isn't, and Susie didn't care about it.
