Sermon Report

Yesterday's sermon was preached on Thanksgiving day, or last Thursday, November 24. The text was Leviticus 3:5. This chapter relates the details of the ceremonial peace offering the Israelites offered, similar to how we celebrate Thanksgiving. Part of the sacrifice would be burned for the Lord, and the rest would be used in a meal. This was supposed to be a happy celebration. Without gratitude or thankfulness, you can't have happiness. That why our celebration of Thanksgiving is so important, and why the world tries to strangle it so much.
