The rebellion, known as the 2-26 incident, against the Japanese government by the Japanese army, who obeyed the emperor and suspected that the emperor was being controlled by the council, finally ended after the rescue of Prime Minister Okada. Tanks and machine guns were readied, and Tokoyo was cut off from the world's communication networks. However, after pretty much an aggressive advertising campaign by the government warning the traitors, a bunch of the rebels deserted and the rebellion fizzled out. It was revealed that the rebels had failed to kill prime minister Okada, and things begin to go back to normal.
