Yesterday's sermon was preached by Reverand Neele. The text was Nahum One. Nahum can be split into three sections, and conveniently it has three chapters. The first chapter concerns the prophecy that the Assyrian city of Ninevah will be destroyed and judged. The second chapter is about the actual destruction of Ninevah, with the third being about the guilt of Ninevah. Nahum 1 specifically talks about how God is just God, how he does not leave the guilty unpunished. The second half talks about how he is also merciful, saving his people from destruction.
