LIght From Old Times

One of the most famous martyrs was a man named Latimer. He was the son of a peasant farmer, who somehow sent him to school. Therefore, he was raised as a very devout Catholic. The days went on and he became a fiery and "furious" as Ryle calls him, Roman Catholic. For seven years he served as a teacher in a university, until one of his students converted him. Again in the words of Ryle, "He turned at once from being a Zealous Catholic to being a Zealous Protestant." He thundered from the pulpits of the university, and he became famous for being a great preacher. Time went on though, and darkness was coming.
