Outline of Church History

Around this time, a man began saying that he did not believe the Church could be built up by twelve men, but he did believe it could be taken down by one. His beliefs climaxed in the French Revolution, where it was revealed that they were doomed to failure. He died such a terrible death his physician could not bear to be in the same room with him. Also around this time, the Methodists arose, but their leader, Mr. Wesley, was rather inconsistent in his doctrine, so they did not help things all that much. Then, someone who could dos something to help did come. His name was George Whitfield, and his preaching was so rousing that it moved even Benjamin Franklin! Maybe, there is hope after all.
