The History of the Church

The King needs somebody to defeat the vikings! Who does he need? Not a warrior, a preacher. Ansgar eagerly volunteers. He journeys North, and builds several monasteries in the lands of King Harald the Viking. Unfortunately, Harald falls out of favor with his people and is overthrown. HIs missionaries are scattered, their followers slain. Ansgar escapes with one of his friends. He journeys back to France. Soon another mission trip is planned to Sweden. There, freed viking slaves want a preacher. Ansgar goes there and establishes yet another thriving church! He build a library and is made a bishop, but something dark is coming...
