The History of the Church

As you can see from all the posts in this series, the Church of God had been persecuted and almost completely wiped out many times. However, you will also notice that it has never been completely destroyed. Though certain Roman Emperors, Jewish religious leaders, swarms of angry, long haired vikings with a don't-mess-with-me-or-I'll-split-your-head-open attitude, and even one Jesus's own disciples all tried to destroy it, they all failed. The Emperor's died, the Religious leaders were ignored, and the Vikings converted. Well, mostly converted anyway. The point is that God has always promised to keep the True Church alive, even if only one is left. Truly did Julian the Apostate say, "Thou hast won after all, Galilean!"
