Sermon Report

Yesterday's sermon was a midweek sermon and preached by Pastor Vandenberg. He used the very last Belgic Confession and also used Psalm Six. Psalm 6 was where David is talking about death. He asks God who can praise you from the grave? At first, people might ask, "What is David talking about? When we die and we are Christians, we go to heaven, where we praise God." However, if we examine the Bible and belief systems back then, we find that David would have had no information about heaven, and therefore probably believed in something remotely familiar to the Greek Underworld. Pastor Vandenberg used this to illustrate the no one can praise God from Hell, so to be come a Christian so you can escape it.
