New Saint Joseph Baltimore Catechism

There was absolutely nothing true in this chapter save their definitions of temporary and punishment! This lesson was on temporary punishment and indulgences. First of all, it said that Christ's followers must be cleansed before they enter heaven, meaning purgatory. Nowhere in the Bible is this mentioned. We are absolutely cleaned by Christ dying for us, if we except it. Second of all, it said indulgences can scrub selfishness in our hearts. Also, the Bible never mentions this at all. Like I said, Christ cleans completely by dying for us, it may not be immediate, in fact it will take our entire life, but nothing else can clean us. Ultimately, all that matters is the question, "Has he cleaned you?"
