Atomic Habits 14

 Progress is a really good way to give yourself a little bit of immediate pleasure to justify your habits. If you track how many days in a week you did a good habit, then you're much likely to continue doing it. Seeing numbers rise is a good motivator for most people. Once your habit becomes more natural and concrete, you will miss a few days. No one is perfect, but the goal is to just not miss two days in a row.
