Yesterday's sermon was preached by Pastor Chris Mourik. Both of his sermons were on sin, and he used Numbers 21, where the Israelites complained about their food and God sent serpents among them, and Luke 22, where Peter denied Jesus. He taught that sometimes we repent just because we want God to come back to us and to take away the punishment when the real reason we repent should be because we are really sorry for our sins and want to change. We need to pray for the Holy Spirit to change our hearts and make us truly sorry, and God will answer.
