When you open Discord you'll go to something like this. Your servers are on the left-most bar. Click on the server you want and it'll open something like this.
The channels are the second leftmost bar. Voice channels are where you can video call, talk, share your screen, and things like that. Remember, only the people in the channel with you can communicate with you, and anyone on the server can join the channel. Text channels are listed above it, and this is your standard texting system. On the right, you can see who is online and who is on the server.
