I began messing around making a note maker called Blue Pencil on Khan Academy a few months ago, and I came back to it recently and changed the layout and deleted all the java off it to rewrite it with jQuery. I have a little bit of polishing to do right now before I make the actual note-making part. Right now you can enter a note into the text box, and then clicking the "Add Note" button saves it, but it doesn't display the notes anywhere. My plan is to have the notes pop up right between the two horizontal lines, with another line in between each note to divide them a little bit. I also plan to make it so that a few notes can be pinned to the top to allow easier access. I know that eventually, I'll have to move this out of KA because I need to be able to save the notes to the user's computer, which KA doesn't let you do for security reasons. If I can't do this then the notes are deleted every time the user leaves the page. I'm thinking of putting this on the Chrome Web Store so people can actually use it, but we'll see how it turns out.
When will the prototype be available for testing by the public?
