How to Fix Your ACL

If you don't know already your ACL is a tendon in your knee that basically allows the knee to work. IF this is torn, surgery may be recommended. An incision will be made over your knee. A graft will be taken from another tendon or from a donor. This tendon will be inserted through two holes screwed into your bones. Screws will be used to firmly attach the new tendon. After this, the incisions will be sewn back up. You will spend about fifteen weeks recovering, which requires no sports and therapy. Have fun.
