Minimally Invasive Hip Replacement Surgery

If your hip becomes so painful that you can't perform everyday activities due to arthritis, a minimally invasive hip replacement surgery may be performed. This involves a small incision made on your hip, and the joint dislocated. The socket will be reshaped to fit a prosthetic femur. The femur bone will also be reshaped to fit the artificial bone. A metal cup will be inserted into the socket, and the prosthetic femur will be clipped into that. The incision will be stitched back up and you should be good to go!
