Achilles Heel injuries are common in sports players. Other risk factors include being male, steroids, and some antibiotics. One way to fix it is by making an incision over the heel. Part of the Achilles heel is removed and used to sew up the area that is broken, or a graft from a donor is used instead. Other methods include using stitches to sew up the broken heel using a special tool.
