OT Survery Report

The history related in the Old Testament does not focus on political, or economic, or even personal plots. The history is there to show one thing: that when God's people follow him and obey him, they prosper, otherwise they fail. God's people repeatedly assumed all the problems that they had were political, which was why they wanted a king, in a sense they had decided that God had failed them and wanted a mortal man to fight for them. If any of you have read your old testament you all know how that turned out. Not well. Anyways, even if the people of Israel weren't faithful to God, God's plan was always advanced. That's the purpose of the history in the OT, to show God's plan.
