Pixel Art

In my last post, I mentioned I was making pixel art on Scratch. Pixel art is different from vector art (See the post I made on my vector dragon) because you don't reform a shape to make whatever you are drawing. Instead, you draw directly on the canvas, changing the color of each pixel. Vector is 100% better for making smooth, more realistic drawings, but if you want a sort of retro look, using pixel art is the way to go. Pixel art is also a lot easier and looks more professional. The pixel art I have been drawing is copying this:
And then filling it with color and drawing the new designs. Notice how it's bumpy. That's what pixel art is. My first attempts looked sort of weird:
That's a very much improved version of a cowboy. As I used it more though I got better:
That's some kind of monster that I'll probably use as an enemy in some game. I started trying to make variations of one type of design, like these two guys.
Maybe they're into Rock n' Roll or something. Or they just like mohawks. Even though I've improved, I've still made some that are just bad :(
Like that one. It was supposed to be a spy. I guess it doesn't look that bad, but I think I could have done better with it, so I'm not satisfied with it. I'll keep working on it. Thanks for reading and have a good day stuck in quarrantine.
