As soon as word got out that Clarence Thomas had been nominated to the Supreme Court it seemed that almost everything on death threw themselves into attacking him. Journalists swarmed his house and interviewed his family members and his ex-wife, digging for anything that they could use to slander his name. The journalists made big deals out of nothing, completely misinterpreting many of the things told them in order to twist them into something bad. Many politicians interviewed Thomas many times, and he realized they were only doing it in order to find a reason not to vote for him.
