The Conclusive Battle

Japan had always wanted for a conclusive battle to be fought between themselves and America in the Pacific Ocean. believing their superior navy could destroy America's navy and America's chances of winning the war. However, they made two crucial errors when they made this wish. One, America's navy was not far inferior to their own, two, they underestimated the moral of the American forces. When the conclusive battle finally came, Japanese soldiers, even commanders, claimed that the Americans fought as bravely and as honorably as samurai, and found that the battle was not as "conclusive" as they had hoped it to be. In fact, it spelled the end for their own chances of winning the war.
