Yesterday's sermon was preached by Pastor Admiraal at Covenant URC. The text was Revelation 4, a short but inspiring passage as it talks about God's throne and the spirits around it. Pastor Admiraal drew connections between the recent funeral of Queen Elizabeth and his text. Many dignitaries from around the world attended the funeral, from the President of the United States to the King of Sweden. There was a lot of power and influence all in one room that day, but none of it could compare to the power of God. Most of these kings and leaders don't confess Jesus as lord, but Queen Elizabeth did. A pastor recounted a story of the queen telling him that she wanted Jesus to return while she lived so she could lay her crown at his feet.
