Yesterday's sermon was preached by pastor Christopher Engelsma and the text was Genesis 2:1-3. This text talks about how God rested from his labors of creation on the seventh day and set in motion the Sabbath Mandate. Some people say that the Sabbath mandate ended when Jesus died and repealed the Mosaic Covenant, meaning we now only have to follow the commands that are repeated in the New Testament. Still, since the Fourth Commandment isn't repeated, they think we don't have to obey it, but this verse shows that it was set in place long before Moses and still applies.
