Yesterday's sermon was preached by Pastor Engelsma. The title was Between Two Easters. The text was 1Cor 15:55. Paul put a lot of stress on Jesus's resurrection in his preaching, and this makes sense. Today we tend to focus a tad bit more on Jesus's death than his resurrection, but why would we follow a dead man that claimed to be God. People would think we were crazy, and rightly so. But we don't follow a dead man that claimed to be God. We follow a man that claimed to be God, died, and came back to life! Of course, people still think we're nuts, but that's because this happened such a long time ago and people have forgotten. However, thanks to archeology among other things we can prove beyond a shadow of reasonable doubt that Jesus did live, die, and live again.
