Sermon Report

Yesterday's sermon was preached by Chris Engelsma and was on Deuteronomy 33. Particularly the verse where Israel is referred to as Jeshurun. This is a nickname applied by Moses to the People of Israel. It is at this time when God has told Moses that he will die because of the sins he committed in the desert. However, Moses still praises God, something that we should do even if things aren't going our way. God typically doesn't punish people in this way anymore, but he still sends challenges at us like a hammer to iron, to shape our faith in a way that is beautiful and pleasing to him.
