Sproul: God and his Prophets

The prophets were God's method of telling his people what he needed them to hear. That is the difference between what the Bible calls False Prophets and Prophets. False Prophets tell the people what they want to say and what the people want to hear. Prophets are divided into Major Prophets and Minor Prophets, not because of their importance, but because of the volume of their writing.
