Light From Old Times

So far int he reading of this book by J. C. Ryle, a famous man from the Church of England, has been talking about martyrs and why they were burned. He says that they were burned for one main reason, they claimed that the bread and wine did not become respectively Jesus's body and blood.  He made a point of this, because according to him at the time of his writing this belief is beginning to slip back in, and the Lord's Supper was beginning to be corrupted. We will see what the book continues to di in future chapters.
