The clicknkids is also proving to be a worthwhile purchase. Andrew is making steady progress. He can now analyze words by pronuoncing each sound to himself. Hence, when the man says "Mac" Andrew can pick out this word from a group of words by analyzing the individual sounds. For instance, he can distinguish "mat" from "mac". At any rate, we plow on.

This week we made some purchases. Got tired of just printing random stuff we found online. We bought:

Phonics
I figured out today that one reason Andrew is having trouble learning to read is b/c he doesn't know what the first and second letter of a word are. I would ask him what sound the first letter made, and he didn't understand what I was talking about. So today, I gave him a list of words and he told me the first letter, second letter, etc. Hopefully, this is a breakthrough.
